Bucoa.org Is Shutting Down on June 1st
It’s been a long battle, and sometimes an expensive one. But in the end, we accomplished our goal of getting reasonable setbacks, maintaining our existing CSR, and providing reasonable protections for landowners against the encroachment of wind turbines in Buchanan County.
This web site has fulfilled its purpose and because of time constraints, as well as the fact that it costs a significant amount of money to host it, Bucoa.org will be shutting down on June 1st.
We’d like to thank all of you who showed up at BOS, P&Z, and informational meetings to voice your concerns and fight for reasonable restrictions to protect the health and safety of our community against wind turbines. We’d also like to thank whoever our anonymous benefactor is who took out ads on Facebook to boost some of our posts. You know who you are, even if we don’t.
For those of you in other counties still fighting this battle, we are making all content on this site available under the Creative Commons BY-NC license. In a nutshell, this means you are free to distribute (in any form), remix, adapt and build upon any articles from this site, provided the following conditions are met:

If there is any content from Bucoa.org that you wish to keep and use for your own battles, we strongly encourage you to print it, or otherwise save it electronically (to your local computer, in Google Docs, etc.) before June 1st
Thank you all again for the time and effort you put into helping us.
Sincerely,
All of us at Bucoa.org
